This Year's CIA Trip!

Cadets every year look forward to the Cadets in Action (CIA) trip. With such successful trips such as Washington and Chicago in recent years it's no wonder why they are so anxious to go. Our corps this year is heading for the great state of Ohio! To be more exact, Dayton, Ohio. Here we will visit the legendary Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, where we will take a tour through their facilities and as cadets you will be given a look into how our Air Force works. We will also visit the National Air Force Museum, where we will take a tour through this facility and see our nation's air power history. With many other events planned, to which you'll have to find out about, this year's CIA trip looks to be one of the best in years!

A Day of Rememberance

The 9/11 Ceremony was a success for our unit thanks to all of the cadets that planned and participated in it. Firefighters, police officers, EMS Responders, and other public officials came to the ceremony to remember that fateful day in 2001. Thanks to Ms. Pat Monteith, for letting the Corps use the Freshman Acadmey, the cadets of SC-932 held the ceremony at the James F. Byrnes Freshman Acadmey. Cadet Col Ernie Roy led the ceremony, giving a great speech that reflected on the events of that day. Cadet Col Erin Pennell led the squadron by giving the commands to show the proper respect throughout the ceremony. The Byrnes High School Orchestra played an arrangement of songs to set the mood, while the cadets led by Cadet Command Cheif Kirstin McCraw laid a wreath at the bottom of the flag pole. Cadet Major Ashton Peterson and Cadet First Lieutenant Bryson Lee played Taps as the colorguard led by Cadet Major Alex Wrennall performed a Half Mast Ceremony.
