SC-932 Welcomes Back An Old Friend!

With Col. Keen leaving, SC-932 needed a SASI to fill in until a replacement could be hired. So Mr. Rogers called someone very familiar to our unit to come help. Chief Master Sergeant Alford came to fill the position. Chief Alford was one of the founding instructors of SC-932 back in 1993 when Col. Pittman and Chief Alford started AFJROTC at Byrnes. He instructed here until 19__ and then retired. He was asked to come back in 2003-2004 and then agian for the second half of the 2007-2008 year. Now he has returned again to offer all the support he can for our program. He is our SASI and will keep things going smoothly here at SC-932. We want thank him and welcome him back to SC-932 and Byrnes High School.

Back to Ashlan Village. "BINGO!"

Honors Flight returns to Ashlan Village again this semester to spend some quality time with the residents. They have been enjoying the BINGO games, especially seeing the excitement on the faces when they obtain BINGO.

Honors Flight has also had some fun in the Alzhiemer's unit singing Karaoke with residents. They sing some fun classics such as "Hound Dog" by Elvis, some more recent hits such as "Beat It" by Michael Jackson.

Watching them sing along or just clap is what makes singing worth while. Honors Flight has enjoyed themselves and are looking forward to getting to go back every week.

FORWARD HARCH! 2nd Semester Gets a Start on Drill.

Second Semester is off to a great start for AFJROTC. Even with a complete week of snow days, we have kept up the pace and are getting started with marching.

Each cadet is excited as they get to be a part of the flight as well as get their chance to lead the flight on thier own. We are looking forward to a lot of fun and progress as we do even more marching this semester. Check back often to see how the improvements are developing.
