Military Ball 2011

This year's military ball was a success and Byrnes SC-932 would like to recognize the people responsible for making the event possible. All the instructors were present including MSgt Outram and Col. Keen. Col. Keen was presented with one of our unit's guide ons by SMSgt Sparkman. Cadets of all ages worked together to for the military ball committee. They arrived at the USC Upstate Readiness Center hours early to prepare and set up for a great night of music and dancing.

Cadets enjoyed themselves with the luxuries of two chocolate fountains, appetizers, and just being with their friends. There were also a few line dances, the crowning of the king and queen, the grogg bowl, as well as special guest appearances. The night was a huge success and all cadets are looking forward to planning for next year's ball.

Honors Flight Prepares for a Night "Under the Sea"

Cadets of Honors Flight are beginning to make the most of their week as they get creative with this years military ball decorations. They have spent the majority of their class time printing sea creature designs off the internet and then drawing them onto cardboard.
These designs are then being cut out and transformed into exotic fish, seaweed, sea creatures, and other ocean marine life. They will later be transported to the USC Upstate Readiness Center to be set up for March 19th.

Cadet Ernie Roy cannot hide his excitement as he was finally able to create a sea horse.

Cadets Angelica Landaverde and Courtney Profera are hard at work cutting out small fish designs. These desgins were later painted a deep green color.
