On January 5th and 6th, our 2nd Semester Honors Flight went to both of District 5's middle schools, D.R. Hill and Florence Chapel, for recruiting visits. The purpose of the recruiting visits were to recruit new cadets interested in our corp for the upcoming year. We went over many aspects of the program to the students, such as how cadets develop leadership through our program. We also talked about our field trips, community service, CAP flights, ground school, and visits to Ashlan Village. Also we explained how JROTC counts as a PE credit because of health and wellness curriculum. The Honors Flight did an outstanding job at getting students excited and informed about the program, and we hope they will be encouraged to join SC-932.
