On Monday November 14, more than 30 SC-932 cadets had the unique privilege to meet and assist hundreds of veterans and their family members at the Golden Corral in uptown Spartanburg. Between 5pm and 9pm, veterans and their guests were allowed to enter for a complementary meal, as a means of thanking them for their countless acts of selfless service. Cadet duties ranged from escorting veterans into the building, to meeting disabled veterans and listening to their accounts of their own servitude. SC-932 cadets began eager to help the veterans and assist them throughout the night, and ended the night enriched by the words and actions of those who served their country. It is needless to say, that this event was an exceptional opportunity for those JROTC cadets who volunteered their time Monday evening.
