WPAFB CIA Trip 2011





On October 27th, 30 cadets with 5 chaperons had the privilege of traveling to Dayton, Ohio for this semester's CIA Field Trip. Highlights of the trip included tours of the National Museum of the Air Force, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, a dinnder cruies, and of course a trip King's Island Amusement Park for some thrilling entertainment.

At the Air Force Museum, cadets were able to tour many retired presidential aircraft. SMSgt Sparkman had the joy of showing cadets the Air Force One plane.




While visiting Wright-Patterson, cadets had the unique opportunity to watch and learn how military training dogs are used in the Air Force. This was followed by an exciting demonstraton by the handlers and their dogs. Also, cadets were able to tour a C-17, and watched the demonstration of a practice military funeral by the WP AFB bas honor guard. Many of the men and women who worked on base spoke with cadets about their jobs and programs.

The experiences from this trip were unique and will be remembered by all cadets.
